Hooligans give out free rocks

On Monday night we were at a friend's house when a neighbor came to the door and said, "someone drove by and threw a rock through the back window of a white car out there." My mind immediately traced back to when I parked on the side of the road, trying to recall if I saw any other white cars besides ours. I didn't remember any, but decided somehow the odds were still against it being our car. Then they said, "It's a Nissan Sentra."

Bummer.

We went outside and found a free rock in the car:

Here's the window it went through:
And here's the view from the inside:
It was kind of cool because you could hear the glass cracking in the cold, night air. Luckily, I opted for glass coverage on our insurance, so the next day they came to our house and replaced the glass. It was actually very easy, so in sum those hooligans not only gave us a free rock* but a new window.

*If interested, the rock is in our front yard and is open for viewing.

My new haircut

My hair has been grown a lot in the past half year since I cut it last time. Sometimes it just feels so heavy and makes me tired (Or maybe I'm just tired even without the long hair). So I finally decided to cut my hair since there's a coupon for $7.99. The girl who cut my hair is really young and seems not know much what she was doing. I can tell that she's really new and not quite skilled. She adjusted my hair quite a few times and it ended up kind of short... Anyway, I'm just not quite happy with it. But it's too late.

Sam took more than ten pictures of my haircut and I didn't like any of them. Then eventually he had to take another one when my hair is wet and doesn't look so puffy.

So, here's the style I wanted (Not the hair color just the layered style)
And here is my haircut... You will know why I'm disappointed.

Sharon's Birthday, Our Anniversary, Anikka's Wedding, Our Awesome New Apartment, etc

Lots has happened recently! Lets first glance back to the last decade when Sharon celebrated her birthday.

Chocolate Cheesecake. Watch out, Sharon
Sharon was super excited for her chocolate cheesecake and all the gifts she got. We went to the zoo, too, and it's not very often you catch a picture of your wife and a tiger peeing!

The jaguar was also pretty cool.

Then it was time for us to move to our new apartment. We were really excited to get out of the dump we were living in.

Moving stinks
Unfortunately, we went to the new apartment that we were really excited to move into to get our key and check-in, but were surprised to find a lot of things that weren't what the manager promised us. It's a long story, but we decided not to move there (Hope we get our $300 dollar deposit back!). It was a bit hectic, but we managed to find a place to move into on extremely short notice that had everything we wanted: close to school, 2 bedrooms, large, washer and dryer, and in a better part of town. All for 595! We like it. We were very blessed for everything to work out so well. Here's the new apartment:

Plus, previous renters left behind this couch and a TV stand and 2 swivel high chairs!

After moving in we went to Las Vegas to celebrate our anniversary and then kept going north to Utah for our cousin Anikka's wedding. Vegas is still gross, but it was still fun to walk around with Sharon, all complimented with Dad hooking us up with his timeshare (thanks dad!). Of course, we went to one of the famous vegas buffets, and it was happy.

Anikka's wedding was nice and I was glad we were able to spend time with family as well as see friends in Provo I hadn't seen in a long time. The drive home was long for Sharon and things got a bit traumatic for my 29-week pregnant wife in the 13th hour of driving, but overall she did great. Love you babe! This is the virgin river campground where we made one of many bathroom stops.

School and work starts tomorrow, and Sharon is working to finish her thesis. Life is good but getting busy.
