Today was a good day, although this is how it started out:
Enoch being naughty during the night translates into daddy being hard to awaken in the morning. I forgave him, though, and even decided he was a good enough boy to take to church and give a blessing. It was nice.
Doesn't Sharon look good?
With grandma and grandpa great on the right and great aunts Shelley and Jeanne on the left all flying down from Utah to be there, I hope Enoch felt loved. After church, Sharon and I left for a few hours to watch a friend's phd organ recital and everyone played tag-team to take care of Enoch. I heard he and Brandon had some major bonding time.
Shelley even committed to putting up a new facebook profile picture with her and Enoch... :)
Grandma and Grandpa are cute.
Did you know that Grandma Great is a worker of miracles? Probably. She holds the record for getting both quality and quantity of smiles from Enoch in so short a time. Too bad I didn't catch most of them on film.
Oh, there was also green chili burritos and chocolate cake and ice cream with chocolate topping. Yep, a good day.

Caught On Tape -- Enoch Rolling Over
On Sunday, Enoch rolled from his stomach to his back 3 times within 10 minutes. Yet, after I got the camera, he didn't do anything. Today, however, he did it again! I decided to try my luck and went and got the camera. Indeed, I did catch live footage!
So do you think it's intentional? Oh, do note that at the start of the video he is already on his side; I didn't put him there. He started flat on his belly.

The first few weeks
Enoch is 18 days old now and he has been growing a lot! The past couple days, he started to mix days and nights. IT ONLY GETS WORSE!!! He wouldn't settle in his bassinet at nights and want to be held the whole time he is sleeping, so he has been sleeping on my belly. Anybody has ideas to correct his habits? We tried leaving him crying in his bassinet one night hoping that he would go to sleep soon when he's tired, but it ended up with me crying because he wouldn't give up screaming! Thanks to mom that I could get a couple hours nap at day time and don't need to worry about making dinner! I think we'll stay with mom and dad until Sam takes MCAT.
Enoch's umbilical cord fell off last week and so we gave him his first bath. He didn't like it then, you can tell from how hard he cried.
Enoch is doing really good at tummy time:
He loves to smile, I don't know if he really means anything when he smile, but isn't he the cutest boy ever?
Look at that cute smiling-sleeping face...
We also found out that Enoch sleeps with his eyes open sometimes... Poor little guy!
With so many people out there who cant believe that Sam is a dad now, I have to say: Sam is a really good father! He would play with Enoch when he gets home from school and work no matter how tired he is. He helped with changing diapers and dirty clothes. He would pick up crying Enoch in the early morning and pet him to sleep when I'm exhausted. What more can you expect?
Sam is going to take MCAT on April 10th, it's intense with a newborn baby. But I know he'll do great!
