Mono again

*Due to Sharon's comment, I have edited this post to include another picture
I think I am something of a medical anomaly, because blood tests confirm that I have mono again. This was very surprising to the doctor, but even more surprising was that even though I was vaccinated years ago, a hepatitis B test came back positive. Luckily, that test turned out to be a false-positive, so I don't have both hep B and mono, just mono.

I suppose I'll take a mild fever, complete lack of energy, and tonsils swollen up to the point where swallowing spit is very painful over Hep B.

For your comparing pleasure, here is a picture of when I had mono last semester:

Which stylish beast is more handsome? The Sam of mono-past, the Sam of mono-present, or the Sam of mono-future?

Please don't let there be a Sam of mono-future...

"In the name of science" series...

Sam's new blog entry inspired me to post something more... Hope you'll enjoy this time :)

Oh, don't forget the most famous one:

Whoops, didn't mean to this time...

This is not beautiful...

Sorry, we'll be careful next time...

Um... Freak!

Call my lab for more information if you are interested in deleting your myostatin gene.

(Just kidding! We don't do that actually.)

Redoing "In The Name of Science": From calf to supercow

Due to popular demand, some of the more graphic pictures have been removed and I decided to rewrite the story-line. For those who don't know, Sharon's research is in a lab primarily involved in increasing the muscle mass of animals. It is to this end most people in her lab write and publish research papers.

"Hey cutie, you're gong to have the time of your life today! By the time we are done with you, you will be a whole new animal."
"Oh, dear little calf, don't be scared, there's no need for that you know. My name is Hans and my name is Franz and we are going to PUMP YOU UP!!"
"And we just do a little something something and......."

"Tadah!"

Driving Permit

I've been sick all week and last weekend Sharon and I went up to Vegas for my old missionary companion's wedding, so things have been really busy. I'm not sure if I perform better or worse on tests with a fever, I guess when the scores come this week I'll see.

Here's a sweet picture of Sharon's skills. She recently got her driving permit!
Yep, that's my wife! There's only been one time where she ran over a dog, three cats, and an old lady.

Ok just kidding. But she really did get her permit.

Oh, and the poll results are officially in: on our wedding night Sharon looked like an angel going down the stairs.
