Christmas Season

This was the first Christmas that we didn't have to travel!!! For that, we are so grateful! Thus this Christmas and new year has really been relaxing and refreshing. If you know me(Sharon), I've dying to settle down and finally we did, at least for 7 years.

I wanted to go see winter heaven lights since last year we didn't go. I thought the kids would enjoy it. And we all did.

Christmas Eve was lots of fun. We made personal pizzas. Alison and Brandon made the pizza dough and we made the sauce and toppings. The pizza turned out great! The kids had fun making their own pizzas.

Originally Sam was going to work on Christmas day but he was able to switch it to work on another day, which was so great. We had a really relaxed morning at home, spoiled with breakfast, presents time, and family time.

I found an overnight cinnamon roll recipe and it turned out wonderful. I also made Christmas sausage casserole.

Our room set up Christmas Morning:

And yes, we got a Christmas Tree this year!!!!

Everybody had so much fun opening presents. Sam got a few games, a bike pouch, DVD, some clothes which he had to return them afterwards. I did my best. I got beauty box, a pitcher that matches our kitchen rooster theme, a beautiful leather jacket, a nice warm snow jacket and more clothes and shoes... Sam is always good at spoiling me!! Enoch got ninja turtle transformer, a bike, some books, ninja turtle slippers, DVD, baseball and mitt. Michael got remote control car, starwars books, a bike, DVD, baseball and mitt. Peter got fire station play tent, 50 hot wheels cars, and DVD.  Enoch and Michael used their own allowance money and bought gifts to each other and to Peter. I think it was very meaningful for them. They were very proud for the gift choices they made. And they were happy for the gifts they received from each other.

Later of Christmas Day we went to mom and dad's and had Christmas dinner, more presents and just had some quality family fun. I love no stress Christmas, no traveling Christmas.

Peter has Croups

Our kids got sick the last day of Mexico Beach trip. They took turns throwing up. Even Sam threw up quite a few times. Then Peter developed croup and really had a hard time breath. I took him to the ER. That was our first time had to deal with croup. It's scary! On the way to the ER, Peter kept breathing hard and asking me to hold him. I was so scared and I cried the whole way. The fear of losing your child to some illness is so scary! Sorry for anybody who has to deal with that! I am so grateful that Peter was OK, he fought through croups, and I get to keep him!!

Pima Air and Space Museum

A couple of months ago, I saw somebody selling tickets to pima air and space museum on craigslist. I ended up getting two tickets for $20. It was a good deal since the tickets are sold $15 each at the museum. The two tickets expires end of Dec, so we were not in a hurry to go. Last weekend, Sam was lucky to have a 3 day weekend, and our boys finally stopped getting sick since thanksgiving mexico beach trip. So we decided that it was time to go have some fun.

Little did we know, the pima air and space museum was having a "Santa's Landing" activity, where Santa landed the museum by helicopter, and kids can line up to talk with Santa and take pics. We were lucky that they had lots of activities that day for little kids to do as well as lots of airplanes to look at. They even had a petting zoo which was a plus. So I thought that $20 was well spent, and we went at a great timing. Although the line to talk to Santa was too long, eventually we didn't wait for it. The boys didn't seem to mind too much.

Mexico Beach Family photo shoot

We were lucky this year to have Leslie as our photographer at Mexico Beach. She did a great job! There are lots of good pictures to choose from.
